The Maker Frida Bed was custom designed by our founder, Lev Glazman, in collaboration with architect Kipp Edick. A cozy metal bed, something Lev searched for throughout his travels, seemed like an oxymoron until he added generous upholstery to the bed frame designed to balance the hardness of the metal.

In his quest for centuries old production techniques, Lev partnered with a small factory in Indonesia to create this bed inspired by the Napoleon III style. Each wrought iron bed is hand forged using old world craftsmanship, and hand polished for a gunmetal finish that will naturally patina over time.

The upholstered headboard and footboard are available in three fabric selections (swatches available upon request).
