The easiest way to open up your home, but still have interesting texture to the walls, is to add neutral wallpaper to expand the space. Gentle hues attract light and creates the illusion that your room is bright, which makes for a more inviting space.
Alina Roytberg is a designer with decades of experience. She co-founded The Maker, where she collaborates with Lev Glazman on interior design, focusing on colors, textiles and furnishings, as well as overall brand direction and graphic design.
An alumni of Parsons School of design, she worked in the fashion industry, immersing herself in the world of design, from textiles, color forecasting and merchandising. Her passion for design transitioned to beauty when she and Lev Glazman founded Fresh in 1991. At Fresh, she led the creation of product packaging, store merchandising and design. Today, Alina’s love of fabrics cultivates in pattern design for The Maker Hotel.
The Maker partnered with Brooklyn based Flavor Paper to digitally print our designs with water-based inks to be as eco-friendly as possible.
