Quality Control Issues
"I purchased a sample of this and absolutely loved it. It was fruity, tropical, floral and held together with a perfectly woody base. I wore the fragrance while out of town and while doing my laundry when I returned - I captivated by the soft calming tropical fragrance intermingled with sandalwood. I immediately ordered a full bottle. Once received I could immediately tell that something was off. It was fruity and floral but lacked the musk or sandalwood notes. It also had zero longevity and faded after a few hours. I email customer service and they sent a replacement. I was very impressed that the company made a valiant effort to correct the era. And trusted that my nose wasn’t mistaken as I smelled the full bottle besides the same and realized they’re not the same thing. After receiving the replacement bottle I’m sad to say it still was not like the sample. This time the white musk was there but still, the sandalwood was missing. I decided to keep the second bottle because it was close enough to the sample. But looking at the original full bottle and the replacement bottle a few months later it’s obvious that the liquid in the original bottle is practically clear while the replacement bottle has a yellowish tint to the liquid. I’ve purchased several other fragrances from this brand and it’s really too expensive for customers to take a gamble with the lack of quality control. All of the other fragrances that I purchased were fine and smelled like the samples that I originally purchased. I only had an issue with Revel. Also, I thought that I could maybe wear the original bottle or perhaps give it away to someone else, but a few months later proved that the smell is dreadful; kind like a tropical air freshener for your car. Thankfully the scent only lasted about an hour or so"

"Revel is a beautiful, feminine fragrance. It’s fruity and floral with the loveliest dry down, which lasts at least 8 hours…I find myself smelling my arms all day long! I’m crazy about this fragrance- I’m discovering many of The Maker fragrances the last few months, after having a signature scent for over 30 years, and love this perfume!"

So fresh!
"I originally got the sample package of all the perfumes. Revel is exactly what I've been looking for. Refreshing and light, yet warm and inviting too. From the initial spritz to the the dry down on my skin 10/10 the whole time. For me, it lasts on my skin all day. By hour 5 or 6 it's no longer projecting but if I smell my wrist it's still there. I will wear this year round, but I could see people keeping it as their spring/summer scent."
